You’re not on your own. #sigh.
Apple have introduced a security-anti-tracking system with all the best intentions, however in doing so broke every existing connection to secure wifi networks where MAC address access is enforced.
In non-geek – every device has a unique code (mac), and in some cases it’s taken into account as part of authentication when connecting to a network with a usual username / password / token.
Apple have made it so automatically each network your device connects to now has a different MAC address. This breaks existing connections – it’s fine for new ones, but breaks existing ones. Thanks, Apple, wasted 20 minutes of my life finding that one out.
Users can disable the setting, as pictured, you’re welcome 🙂
